Drafting Professional

Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Engineering/Drafting professional to join their team. This role involves working with precision and innovation to contribute to the company's excellence in mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings.

1. Develop and implement efficient item management, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and production routes utilizing Microsoft AX.
2. Conduct thorough reviews of BOMs and production routes to ensure quality control prior to Engineering Quality Control (QC).
3. Collaborate closely with Sales and Production teams to meet project specifications and requirements.
4. Independently manage multiple projects with strong self-management skills.
5. Ensure timely completion of project deadlines and deliverables.
6. Promote a team-oriented approach to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

• Education: University or college degree in a mechanical-related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1-2 years of design/drafting experience, preferably in bulk material handling, industrial, or custom steel fabrication.
• Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including production planning.
• Communication Skills: Excellent proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Mechanical Aptitude: High level of mechanical aptitude.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, especially Microsoft AX (preferred), and advanced skills in AutoCAD and Inventor (mandatory);
• Adherence to Standards: Ability to consistently follow established protocols and quality standards.

Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
