We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Care Specialist to join our team at Ackerman Pierce Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out initial safeguarding enquiries and s42 enquiries, providing advice to the public and partner agencies, and completing home visits and safeguarding assessments and reports.

The ideal candidate will have post-qualifying experience of working as a Locality Social Worker or within a Safeguarding Team, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to work with people at risk and those who have caused harm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out initial safeguarding enquiries and s42 enquiries
  • Providing advice to the public, partner agencies, and regulated care providers
  • Completing home visits and safeguarding assessments and reports
  • Liaising with other professionals
  • Holding cases
  • Working with people at risk and those who have caused harm
  • Attending multidisciplinary meetings
  • Completing referrals to relevant agencies for support

Requirements:

  • Post-qualifying experience of working as a Locality Social Worker or within a Safeguarding Team
  • HCPC Registration
  • 3 year post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
