Job Title: Product Development Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Green Folk LTD. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of high-performance alloy components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of high-performance alloy components, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and operational requirements.
  • Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical liaison with key account customers, managing communications, addressing technical inquiries, and ensuring that customer expectations are effectively translated into engineering solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with process engineers to ensure product designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to production release, ensuring that all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget constraints.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, working in close coordination with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues related to product quality and compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for product enhancements based on customer feedback, production data, and advancements in materials science and manufacturing technologies.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, specifically in the development of technically complex alloy components.
  • Strong knowledge of materials science, metrology, and metallurgical processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a forgings/castings/machined product environment with an understanding of the production and compliance manufacturing processes involved.
  • Knowledge of aerospace applications and performance requirements.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance (e.g., ISO 9001, AS13100, AS9100).
