About the Role:

Samsic UK is seeking a skilled and reliable Cleaning and Maintenance Operative to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and restroom cleaning.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance activities, documenting any issues or needs for repairs.
  • Heavy Cleansing and Projects: Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as required.
  • Reporting and Communication: Notify management of any occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs, and make adjustments and minor repairs as necessary.
  • Supply Management: Stock and maintain supply rooms, ensuring that all necessary cleaning chemicals and supplies are available.
  • Teamwork: Cooperate with the rest of the staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven working experience as a cleaner or in a related field.
  • Equipment Handling: Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Cleaning Knowledge: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Integrity: Demonstrated integrity and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent.
