Job Title: Senior Legal Advisor

The role of a Senior Legal Advisor at England Golf is to provide expert legal counsel across the organisation, ensuring that the highest standards of compliance are upheld. This involves providing a wide variety of counsel on matters relating to corporate governance, safeguarding, disciplinary and appeals, legal and commercial contracts, policy development, and provision of advice to affiliated golf clubs and county bodies.

This is a full-time position (Monday - Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm core hours) based at England Golf Headquarters, with opportunities for travel as necessary. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement (three days in office and two from home) following a six-week onboarding process.

The successful candidate will have a legal qualification (0-4 years PQE) and a deep understanding of the English law and legal system. They will also possess strong communication skills, able to explain legal terminology in an understandable way to those of a non-legal background, and demonstrate high levels of integrity, discretion, and trust.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, safeguarding, disciplinary and appeals, legal and commercial contracts, policy development, and provision of advice to affiliated golf clubs and county bodies.
- Work closely with the team to ensure the highest standards of compliance are upheld.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on legal matters.

Requirements:
- A legal qualification (0-4 years PQE).
- A deep understanding of the English law and legal system.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain legal terminology in an understandable way to those of a non-legal background.
- High levels of integrity, discretion, and trust.
