Job Title: Teaching Assistant Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: * Provide in-class support to students with additional needs, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. * Develop and deliver one-to-one or small group interventions to students with SEN, including Phonics, English, and Maths. * Collaborate with the SENDCO, teachers, and other support staff to identify and support students with additional needs. * Build positive relationships with students, helping them to feel valued and understood. * Record and monitor the progress of students, ensuring their needs are met. * Liaise with external professionals when required to ensure students' holistic development. Requirements: * Experience working in an educational setting is desirable. * An understanding of SEN is essential. * ELSA trained or a willingness to undertake ELSA training. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills. * A GCSE pass (or equivalent) in Maths and English is essential. A pass in Science is desirable. * A patient, compassionate, empathetic, and understanding approach to working with students with additional needs. * Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community. * The ability to take direction but also be able to use initiative when required. * A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
