About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team at HR GO Recruitment. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient clearance of goods through customs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and complete customs entries using CDS, including deep sea ocean freight clearance and European road freight clearances
  • Navigate HMRC online tariffs and customs commodity codes and procedures
  • Provide excellent communication skills to communicate with various customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to obtain and provide required information to process customs clearance accurately and compliant within HMRC guidelines
  • Arrange and process high-level clearances promptly
  • Work closely with the logistics team to ensure seamless clearance of goods
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of at least 2 years working in a small to medium-sized freight forwarder
  • Experience with processing and completing entries using CDS
  • Knowledge of HMRC online tariffs and customs commodity codes and procedures
  • FTA knowledge or origin and preference
  • CNS & Destin8 system experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Maths and English skills
