Ardagh Group is a global leader in metal and glass packaging solutions, producing packaging for the world's leading brands. We are seeking a Procurement Specialist - Plant Equipment to join our team in Dublin.

This role is responsible for managing all Group Plant Equipment and Spare Parts for our Glass operating business in Europe, Africa, and preferred MRO suppliers for Europe. The role will have significant interactions with the Central Technical Service (CTS) team, local engineering, plant leadership, and regional procurement teams.

The successful candidate will:

  • Work in conjunction with technical experts and local procurement to ensure compliance, best commercial value (cost and cash), and world-class supply.
  • Ensure supplier agreements meet business unit needs.
  • Initiate and implement projects to increase efficiency in the supply chain, e.g., long-term agreements and support of product standardizations.
  • Support implementation and renewals of new or existing spare part agreements for OEMs.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values through upholding our standards of business conduct, complying with Group policies and procedures, and leading by example.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Procurement with a technical understanding of plant equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Commercial negotiations and closing agreements.
  • Contract law / contract management.
  • Influencing and stakeholder management.
  • Confidence to act in a technical environment and represent commercial standing.
  • Fluent English language written and spoken (second language desirable).
  • Ability to inspire, delegate, and be an intuitive, creative visionary.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
