Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Welsh speaker to join our team as a Primary Education Professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Welsh, fostering a love of learning and promoting the Welsh language.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lesson Planning: Develop and implement high-quality lesson plans aligned with the Welsh Curriculum, ensuring student progress and achievement.
  2. Teaching and Assessing: Deliver interactive and inclusive lessons, assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to drive improvement.
  3. Classroom Environment: Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes students' emotional, social, and academic well-being.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and ideas, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  5. Pupil Progress: Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform targeted support and interventions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Hold a valid QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Fluency in Welsh: Be fluent in both spoken and written Welsh, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  3. Passion for Teaching and Learning: Demonstrate a genuine passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
