Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to patients in primary care settings.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental health triage, assessment, advice, and/or signposting to patients in primary care.
  • Work closely with primary care teams to develop and implement specialist mental health training and interventions.
  • Collaborate with local community services to ensure seamless care transitions and effective service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health strategies and initiatives within the trust.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Professional registration in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Mental Health Nursing.
  • Post-registration psychological training and clinical experience of brief interventions.
  • Advanced understanding of mental health needs in adults and older adults, including health inequalities and marginalized groups.
  • Significant experience working with individuals with mental health needs, particularly in community mental health settings.
