Senior Care Assistant Role Overview

Ferrars Hall Care Home in Huntingdon is a luxurious and beautiful care home providing residential and specialist dementia care. We are seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team.

About the Job
  • Aiding residents' emotional well-being and social needs
  • Administration and monitoring of medications to residents
  • Supporting residents at meal times
  • Mentoring & assisting new employees
  • Implementing, monitoring and reviewing care plans to meet residents' specific needs
  • Planning, allocating & supervising the work of the team of care assistants
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for leading a team of care assistants and ensuring the highest standards of care are met. You will also be required to administer medication, support residents at meal times and implement care plans.

Requirements
  • Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team
  • Have a friendly & caring attitude
  • Experience of administering medication
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willing to work towards this
  • Great communication skills, both written & verbal
