About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fusion Safety Engineer to join our team at Tokamak Energy Ltd. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the regulatory compliance and technical safety of our designs, products, and operations.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional with experience in safety assessment techniques, including HIRA, HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, etc. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with business and functional leaders.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £70,000-£90,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including 28 days holiday, pension scheme, and financial benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate regulatory activity and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation from initiation through design to service.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP), safety studies, and provide technical input for regulatory compliance.
  • Work with a range of stakeholders to produce and implement technical safety assessments, reports, and safety cases for plant and operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree qualified likely with Chartered Engineer status or comparable experience in a related field.
  • Experience or knowledge of safety assessment techniques including HIRA, HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, etc.
