Automotive Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Rubber Duck Cars. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle maintenance and repair, utilizing your technical knowledge to test, diagnose, and resolve faults.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out vehicle maintenance and repair
- Utilize technical knowledge to test, diagnose, and resolve faults
- Suggest and make improvements to processes
- Work on electrical and mechanical systems
- Inspect components for wear and tear
- Repair and replace parts
- Check vehicle subsystems
- Liaise with customers where necessary
- Support other technicians in the workshop
Requirements:
- Knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment
- Capability of working to the highest quality standards
- Great team player and communication skills
- Maintain high standards of house-keeping
- Prior experience in working to efficiency targets
- A full UK driving license
- Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable, but not essential
- VOSA-approved MOT tester an advantage but not essential
- Must hold Level 2 / Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent
