Job Summary

As a key member of our clinical pharmacy team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our specialist pharmaceutical care service.

Main Responsibilities

As a Band 7 Specialist Pharmacist Gastroenterology, you will be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service to the gastroenterology ward on a rotational basis. You will also support the provision and development of a holistic, specialist pharmaceutical care service to patients receiving high-risk, high-cost medication delivered via Homecare services.

About the Role

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide pharmaceutical advice to prescribers and other healthcare professionals. You will also participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and out-patient clinics to ensure seamless care delivery.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Qualified to Masters Degree level (MPharm or equivalent)
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Post Graduate Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Clinical experience within gastroenterology/hepatology (highly desirable)
