Principal Performance Modelling Engineer

IC Resources is partnering with a Semiconductor start-up in Silicon Valley to transform the industry with RISCV based computing platforms. As a Principal Performance Modelling Engineer, you will develop functional and timing simulators, undertake performance analysis for architectural exploration, and identify and fix performance bottlenecks.

You will be involved in workload analysis to develop a deep understanding of the characteristics of workloads in the target market, including machine learning, data analytics, and graph analytics. The team is small but growing rapidly, offering a unique opportunity for technical leadership and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop C/C++ code for performance modelling
  • Understand GPU/CPU architecture and microarchitecture
  • Apply performance modelling concepts to identify bottlenecks
  • Analyse SIMT processing, cache, and memory hierarchies
  • Work with benchmarks and workloads in the ML space
