Senior Cloud Operations Engineer | Security Clearance Required | Competitive Salary + Benefits

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is collaborating with a prominent National Security Consultancy to establish a new cloud engineering division. They are in search of a seasoned Cloud Operations Engineer to take on a pivotal role in technical leadership.

In this position, you will become part of a skilled team dedicated to developing deployment and cloud solutions within a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include working with diverse clients on a range of cloud-based (AWS) and on-premises solutions. To excel in this role, you must possess substantial experience in Linux systems management (RedHat), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker or Kubernetes).

This role operates on a hybrid model, requiring some on-site presence based on project needs. Active high-level security clearance is a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and sustaining secure Linux infrastructure solutions both on-premises and in the cloud (AWS).
  • Automating deployment, operations, and maintenance processes using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools.
  • Overseeing a team of engineers, including conducting one-on-one meetings, managing KPIs, and setting performance targets.
  • Addressing and resolving system and platform-related issues.

Required Experience:

  • Proficient in Linux Administration (RedHat)
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Management of CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
