Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar power systems and electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in electrical maintenance activities to ensure site improvement and LV/HV electrical network maintenance.
  • Manage and assist with all electrical maintenance tasks, including scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules (ESRs) and promote a positive HS&E culture.
  • Develop new maintenance procedures as needed and identify resources and subcontractors for maintenance tasks.
  • Oversee contractor activities to ensure effective maintenance and complete paperwork, including labor returns, timesheets, and expenses.
  • Liaise with the Operational management team and site operatives to ensure seamless communication.
  • Perform Electrical Site Technician duties on-site, including work on DC and LV systems and diagnosing issues.
  • Submit LV switching schedules per project programs and identify and report on activity improvements and training needs.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering background and minimum 3 years of professional experience as a field technician for PV Solar/BESS projects.
  • Qualified Electrician with proficiency in electrical systems design and solar connections.
  • Up-to-date industry-recognized AP course (HV AP 2/ AP3 Authorization) and test equipment skills, including fault finding, VLF testing, and IR.
  • Experience in renewable energy installations (O&M, Construction, etc.) and a strong understanding of electrical safety protocols.
