About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Counsel to join our Product team at Vodafone UK. As a key member of our Legal function, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering strategic legal advice to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head of Legal and Legal Leadership team to deliver Vodafone Business, Business Product, and Legal Strategy.
  • Provide specialist and expert product legal advice to Senior Counsel and Counsel.
  • Drive Business legal transformation projects, process improvement, and change innovation.
  • Lead legal advisor for new Business product development, service introduction, and product improvement activities.
  • Manage Business Product Legal priorities and resource planning using agile tools and processes.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on key Business Product projects, contract template strategy, and contract documentation.
  • Lead liaison with Group Product Legal teams and linked processes such as Trust By Design.
  • Provide expert advice on structuring, drafting, and negotiating contracts with suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant functions beyond Business Product.
  • Develop and lead stakeholder training on key legal issues and run "Product Meets Deals" sessions.
  • Advise on financial services matters, including consumer credit and payment services.
  • Develop and maintain consumer credit documentation.
  • Advise on Business marketing, advertising, and sponsorship agreements.
  • Develop and maintain efficient and effective relationships with Business Marketing teams.
  • Assist in the maintenance and evolution of Totem (Business Product Legal's database of live Business products and Service Terms).
  • Create and evolve Product legal know-how, guidance notes, and process improvements.
  • Manage the relationship between external solicitors and Vodafone Limited for all Business Product activities.
About You

We are looking for a Solicitor or barrister with a strong commercial law background and excellent drafting skills. You will have experience in advising on financial services and promotions, including consumer credit, payment services, and insurance. You will be able to deal with highly complex and high-risk issues, provide expert advice, and lead on complex legal negotiations.

You will have a strong understanding of Vodafone Limited's regulatory environment and be able to provide leadership on strategic issues. You will be able to review legal work, provide coaching and guidance, and devise innovative solutions. You will have experience in managing, coaching, and developing others, creating a positive and collaborative team ethos.
