This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse with an interest in paediatric obesity and endocrinology to join a regional service for the complications of excess weight. The post holder will provide clinical expertise and knowledge, demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, treatment, and management of children and young people with childhood obesity and complications of excess weight.



Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be expected to:




  • Provide clinical expertise and knowledge to the team
  • Monitor and improve standards of care through supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence-based practice, teaching, and supporting professional colleagues
  • Undertake Nurse-led clinics and coordinate responsibilities within the MDT
  • Provide excellent clinical support to wards and departments caring for children and young people
  • Involvement in research and Non-Medical Prescribing qualification (NMP) or working towards it
