Job Overview

Petroplan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrument Designer to join our team on an LNG project in the FEED phase.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

The contract is outside IR35 and will last for an initial 6-month renewable period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality Instrumentation and Telecommunication engineering deliverables, including block diagrams, location layouts, cable routing layouts, material takeoff, bill of materials, control room, and rack room layouts.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient design and drafting of instrumentation and telecom systems, complying with project and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to provide comprehensive instrumentation and telecommunication solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience as a senior instrument designer working on on-shore FEED projects.
  • Experience with Smart 3D (S3D) for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.
  • Ability to integrate instrumentation and telecom designs with Electrical and Piping teams.
  • Proven ability to oversee a design team and ensure quality of work.
  • Experience in coordinating with high-value Engineering Centres.
