About the Role

Oxford City Council is seeking an experienced surveyor to work within its Property Services team as a Senior Property Maintenance Coordinator.

Job Description:
  • Maintain the City Council's social housing stock and associated areas through effective estate ownership and collaborative working with teams across the organisation.
  • Take full ownership of all property-related issues and queries in your area, ensuring tenants have safe, secure, well-maintained and compliant places to live.
  • Commission works and monitor the output of contractors, including Oxford Direct Services, to achieve agreed timescales and quality standards.

You will bring enthusiasm, energy and a 'can-do' attitude to the role, helping to create a service that is agile and fit for purpose now and for the future.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current property legislation, including damp and mould, section 20 process, compliance, disrepair and decent homes.
  • Experience in managing varied workstreams and commissioning contractors.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
