Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant with native Mandarin language skills to join our team in Central London. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing and reconciling of various accounting documents, including invoices, departmental billings, and employee reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile accounting documents, including invoices, departmental billings, and employee reimbursements.
  • Compile and review information for accuracy, and maintain records.
  • Apply knowledge of accounting terminology and use spreadsheets and the automated SAP accounting system.
  • Responsible for overall admin expenses, fundamental taxation works, and maintaining proper records of fixed assets.
  • Carry out regular asset count and inspection, and assist in formulating reports and applications to headquarters for acquisition and disposal of fixed assets.
  • Calculate capital allowance and maintain proper records, and prepare national statistics reports and budget figures.
  • Prepare G&A expense analysis and provide informative comments to support management's decision.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Mandarin to native level, with fluent English.
  • Degree level education or equivalent level qualification; Accounting profession qualification - part qualified (e.g. ATT, ACCA or ACA or CIMA).
  • Proficiency in computer to work with various systems and Microsoft packages.
  • Familiar with SAP accounting systems preferred but not essential.
  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, understanding of international/UK accounting principles and practices, and knowledge of UK taxation.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferable but not essential.
