**About the Edinburgh International Book Festival**

We are seeking an experienced Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As our Treasurer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

**Role Overview**

The Treasurer will oversee the financial management, reporting, and planning of the organisation, ensuring that we can continue to deliver our mission to celebrate books, reading, writing, and ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and guidelines.
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
  • Provide financial advice to the board and support strategic planning.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks.

**Requirements**

We are looking for a qualified individual with proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of financial regulations and best practices, as well as proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additionally, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly. They will be able to work remotely, with occasional meetings in Edinburgh or Glasgow.

**Salary Range:** £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
