Our UK Energy business is focused on delivering Net Zero to the UK Energy System, and we are seeking a talented Cable Systems Engineer to join our team and contribute to this effort. As a Cable Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cable systems for power distribution and transmission, including selecting cables, connectors, and installation methods. You will also create detailed engineering drawings and specifications, conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for cable system design, perform technical calculations and analysis to ensure electrical and mechanical performance, and collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate design requirements into project plans.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and extensive experience in designing, manufacturing, and testing HV cables for use in HVAC and HVDC projects. Your knowledge of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies will be essential. You will also need strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits, including a hybrid working policy, flexible working arrangements, and access to training and development opportunities.
