Key Responsibilities
  • Student Progress and Behaviour
    • Monitor and oversee the academic progress, behaviour, and well-being of students in your assigned year group.
    • Provide targeted support and intervention as needed to ensure a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaboration and Support
    • Work closely with the Inclusion Coordinator and Leadership Team to develop and implement strategies to improve student behaviour.
    • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students' needs.
  • Safeguarding and Well-being
    • Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification in education, youth work, or a related field is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably in an SEN setting, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
  • Proven ability to manage and improve student behaviour, with experience in implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
  • A genuine interest in the issues faced by students with SEN, and the ability to show empathy, patience, and understanding in supporting their needs.
  • A Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
