Domestic Gas Compliance and Repairs Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Domestic Gas Compliance and Repairs Manager at Ashford Borough Council.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the delivery of Gas Compliance, Service, Repair and Maintenance contract to an agreed programme, budget, and quality within the councils operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as lead Officer for the Housing Service in the take-up, development, installation and maintenance guidance of new energies in line with the Councils ambition
- Managing all aspects of the gas service, maintenance and the repairs contracts under your control
- Reviewing and drafting domestic and commercial heating and hot water asset maintenance/repair and installation specifications
- Development and delivery of the heating replacement program incorporating affordable warmth and carbon reduction targets
- Assisting in the procurement of heating and insulation contracts
Requirements:
- Category 1 Engineer with Domestic and Commercial Natural Gas ACS Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years post qualification primary trade related experience
- Experience in managing domestic and commercial heating installations
- Experience in renewable heating and hot water technologies
- Ability to produce specifications and reports
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
