Dornan is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Inventory Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate storage and inventory management of materials, plant hire, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and vendors to reconcile quantities and maintain a secure storage environment.
  • Adhere to quality management systems and ensure proper document control for materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements and expedite delivery from suppliers.
  • Conduct physical inventory control and verification, ensuring the accurate usage of materials.
  • Propose and dispose of surplus or scrap materials in accordance with company procedures.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update material tracking schedules to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Work closely with the planning engineer to guarantee materials are available as per the project plan.
  • Coordinate with the material engineer and procurement department to obtain client approval for material submittals.
  • Minimize inventory levels by collaborating with the procurement department and project manager.
  • Expedite supplier deliveries and monitor stores functions and storekeepers.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in stores or logistics, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Desirable supervisory skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office and various computer software applications.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to ensure smooth communication flow.
