About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and proactive Art and Design Teacher to work in schools in various locations.

Job Summary:

As an Art and Design Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students across KS3 and KS4. Your role will involve planning and preparing lesson materials, assessing student progress, and creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in Art and Design.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support to help them improve.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to inspire and motivate students.
  • Support students in developing their artistic skills and understanding of design principles.
  • Organise and display student artwork, promoting their achievements within the school community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Art and Design.
  • Experience teaching Art and Design at KS3 and KS4 levels.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for art and design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • A proactive and creative approach to teaching.
