As a Cleaning Operative at EMCOR UK, you will be responsible for undertaking duties as directed and responding to reactive requests, providing best practice in all cleaning activities to uphold company values and meet contractual deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure good housekeeping of equipment and consumables and storage areas.
- Carry out cleaning tasks to ensure agreed standards and prioritize workload.
- Report any repairs noticed during cleaning duties.
- Respond to service shortfalls and conduct daily maintenance on machinery.
- Perform additional or special cleans as instructed.
- Ensure adequate stocks of consumables are available and request replenishments as necessary.
- Attend and complete training as required.
- Use chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
- Liaise with customers and clients in a professional manner.
- Work safely and report any health and safety risks or hazards.
- Clean all areas of the school as directed by the Premises Manager.
- Operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment safely.
- Dilute and use cleaning products as instructed.
- Collect and remove waste and rubbish from classrooms and activity areas.
- Perform deep cleans during school closure periods.
- Notify the Helpdesk or Premises Manager of any repair or maintenance work required.
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and codes of practice.
- Assist in cleaning other areas during staffing shortfalls.
- Carry out emergency cleaning duties as required.
- Comply with instructions relating to security and confidentiality.
