About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at LANXESS UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of control and instrumentation systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support site PLCs, SCADA systems, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Design, commission, and manage the installation of instrument loops.
  • Complete functional safety documentation, including SIL calculations and safety requirement specifications.
  • Provide operations support, including fault finding, software interventions, training, alarm management, and process improvements.
  • Support operational technology systems, including OSI Soft PI.
  • Ensure compliance with current Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation, LANXESS Regulations/Standards/Guidelines, and professional standards.

About You

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in control systems engineering. You should have a degree in an engineering discipline, preferably with a focus on controls or instrumentation. Previous experience with Delta V is essential, and Fisher Provox experience is desirable. You should also have good organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of common C&I regulations and current Health, Safety, and Environment Legislation.
