The Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join an Alternative Provision based in Shepshed that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs between the ages of 11-16.

Salary and Benefits

Payout: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (to scale) + benefits.

Job Description
  • Develop tailored educational programmes that meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create holistic support plans.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and their families.
Requirements
  • Previous experience teaching or tutoring within an educational setting.
  • Previous experience working within an alternative provision (ideal).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (ideal).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
  • Experience working with SEND pupils.
