Position Overview:
As a Fusion Technologist (Simulation & Software), you will be instrumental in advancing the development of sophisticated simulation and software solutions tailored for the design and enhancement of digital-physical systems, including digital twins.

Location:
This role offers flexibility in working from various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex scientific and engineering challenges through the creation of new simulation and software tools integrated with physical experiments.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of experimental and simulation engineers to facilitate the effective application of imaging sensors in real-world experimental settings.
  • Represent the organization at international conferences and technical meetings as required.
  • Generate impactful outputs, including delivering presentations at major conferences and publishing peer-reviewed research.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A doctoral degree in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, physical science, or equivalent experience in a structured research environment.
  • Strong collaborative skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly across various disciplines.

Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in computational engineering fields such as finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Monte-Carlo methods, or computational electromagnetics.
  • Experience in running and managing simulations via command line using specific software scripting languages or other scripting languages.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Matlab, Julia, R) for data analysis and visualization.

Alternatively:
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, C/C++) for simulation, analysis, and visualization of scientific or engineering data.
  • Familiarity with coding, testing, and documentation best practices, including version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with command line operations and Linux/UNIX operating systems or Windows Subsystem for Linux.
