As a Senior Pipelines and Subsea FEA Engineer at Worley, you will support and lead advanced analysis scopes requiring FEA and occasionally CFD, interface with other disciplines and the client to ensure the requirements of each scope are understood and met, from early concept phases of a project to installation and commissioning phases. You will also support on proposals, tenders, and bid clarifications as well as contribute to promoting new design approaches and technologies for different project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-level expertise in pipeline design and structural stress analysis aspects of projects, including calculation and analysis requirements as well as design and 3D model checking, verification and validation of structural engineering and design.
  2. Develop 2D/3D FEA models to address the requirements of analysis scopes with high complexity, as required.
  3. Gather, prepare, and develop engineering studies, numerical analyses, calculations, and technical reports, specifications, and design philosophies.
Requirements:

  1. Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline
  2. MSc and/or PhD in a related Engineering field is preferred
  3. Professional (or seeking professional) status
  4. Good working knowledge of UK and International design standards and codes
  5. Understanding of subsea hardware and production systems
  6. Understanding of pipeline design principles
  7. Excellent people skills interacting with engineers of different seniority, technical capability, and cultural background, proactive to get the work done, a team player with a can-do attitude
  8. Good time-management skills and the ability to perform under pressure
  9. A 'can-do' attitude, welcoming challenges
  10. Interest in conducting R&D activities, co-authoring research papers, and participating in International Conferences
