Senior Project Manager - Maternity Cover

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of our Digital Twin programme. This transformative initiative aims to create a digital representation of our waste and recycling services, optimising real-time operations and enhancing service efficiency.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale data-centric projects, particularly in the waste management and sustainability sectors. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, and adhering to budget constraints.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the creation and optimisation of real-time data infrastructure, driving insights that improve operational efficiency in waste services. You will work closely with contractors and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Digital Twin project from inception through to execution, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the creation and optimisation of real-time data infrastructure, driving insights that improve operational efficiency in waste services.
  • Manage and optimise processes for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting, ensuring smooth integration across various systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Borough partners, and external consultants to ensure alignment and drive data-led operational changes.
  • Leverage data insights to model how public engagement and resident behaviour impact service performance, shaping more efficient, community-friendly waste management solutions.

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience managing or working with contractors on technical systems such as Data Lakes and Data Warehouses, ETL Pipelines and Data Integration tools, Microsoft Power BI and other Data Visualization tools, Azure SQL Databases and Cloud Data Infrastructure, IoT Systems for waste management, Digital Twin technologies and frameworks, Power Query-based data transformation templates, and Real-Time Data Reporting systems.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including opportunities for career growth and professional development.
