About the Role:

The Senior Restaurant Host is the first point of contact for guests in our restaurants, responsible for providing exceptional quality and service. This role is part of the Wild Carrot team, reporting to the Wild Carrot Restaurant & Bar Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience, working closely with a team of servers
  • Manage the host stand, review the reservation book, and make recommendations for table setup
  • Ensure the cleanliness of each dining room section and make necessary improvements
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of menus, menu ingredients, and restaurant information
  • Organize the hostess team to provide efficient communication and provide training for new team members

Requirements:

  • One to two years' experience in a food and beverage outlet, with previous experience in a luxury hotel considered an asset
  • Ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with guests
