About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Aspens Services Ltd, a leading contract catering company specialising in school food.

The successful candidate will have full operational and financial responsibility for our schools catering facility, focusing on delivering the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a team of chefs and kitchen staff
  • Managing stock, food, and labour costs
  • Ensuring consistency of food and service standards
  • Driving sales through promotions and added value events
  • Managing and improving controllable costs
  • Overseeing menu development
  • Maintaining company systems and procedures
  • Carrying out regular audits

About You

We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional food and service, who has the following skills and experience:

  • OND or HND qualified (desirable)
  • Craft based experience using fresh ingredients
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Financial understanding of gross profit management and sales targets
  • Line management experience
  • Experience within a similar environment
