About the Role

As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our business. Your primary focus will be on effective sourcing of key external supply partners across various group functions, ensuring cost savings, best value for money, and minimized risk. Your excellent relationship management skills will drive continuous improvement and high service levels with suppliers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to achieve consistently high service levels, drive continuous improvement, and minimize risk. This includes quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and in-person meetings where relevant.
  • Form excellent relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring projects are well-defined, and business cases are fully approved prior to sourcing activity. This includes obtaining C-suite sign-off.
  • Work with the Head of Procurement and internal stakeholders to formulate and implement category strategy plans to support cost reviews across multiple areas of the business, specifically IT and Ecom.
  • Manage commercial relationships with new and incumbent suppliers, ensuring contracts and commercial arrangements are competitively priced, robust from a risk and governance perspective, and meet service level expectations.
  • Support the Head of Procurement and internal stakeholders in formal sourcing and contract review processes, as well as in-contract commercial and contract negotiations.
  • Regularly research alternative suppliers and markets to ensure ongoing best practice is driven into our services.
  • Prepare monthly reports and updates for the Head of Procurement to present to the Board and Internal Directors.

What We're Looking For

  • Good knowledge and experience of the General National Framework Requirements (GNFR) space covering a variety of spends.
  • A proven record of achieving cost savings through negotiation and operational change.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excel skills and ability to analyze spend information, invoices, and produce cost models and comparisons.
  • Target-focussed with the ability to work quickly when required.
  • Decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent forward planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
