**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our team in managing MEICA elements of various wastewater projects. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will assist in tender submissions, manage subcontractors and designers, and contribute to project delivery, ensuring programme and budget constraints are met.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical/electrical engineering, with experience in a contractor-based environment within the water industry. They will be responsible for driving the MEICA aspects of projects, collaborating with pre-construction teams on tenders, reviewing client scope documents, and managing subcontracts and material orders.

**Key Responsibilities**

  1. Collaborate with pre-construction teams on tender submissions.
  2. Review client scope documents and work closely with the design team.
  3. Manage subcontracts and material orders to ensure timely completion.
  4. Interpret discipline-related drawings and identify potential issues.
  5. Vet subcontractors and inspect production, quality, and installation.
  6. Support project programming and planning to meet programme and budget constraints.
  7. Maintain quality assurance records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  8. Review subcontractor designs for buildability, operation, and maintenance.
  9. Support the production of operating and maintenance manuals.
  10. Attend site progress meetings and produce regular reports.
  11. Coordinate MEICA works to support design progress and ensure efficient project delivery.
  12. Inspect equipment at factory and on-site to ensure compliance with specifications.
  13. Advise quantity surveyors on specification changes and financial impact.
  14. Provide technical assistance regarding contractual disputes.
  15. Liaise with clients and handle correspondence to maintain positive relationships.
  16. Resolve snagging and maintenance repairs during the defect's liability period.

**Requirements**

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Qualification (minimum BEng or equivalent).
  • Degree qualification preferred.
  • Experience in a contractor-based background within the water industry.
  • Understanding of NEC4 condition contract and budget control is desirable.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and good communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise site staff if required.
  • Knowledgeable in project engineer/management techniques for water/sewage treatment works.
