About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Countermeasure Development Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS) team. As a senior modeller, you will play a key role in developing our in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX, and working closely with our software development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex models and simulations to support countermeasure development and testing
  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure seamless integration of models and simulations into our products
  • Manage technical work for junior team members and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Line manage some junior engineers and provide leadership and direction
  • Contribute to the development of new countermeasure techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of physics and mathematical principles at degree level
  • Experience with at least one of Electro-Optics (EO), Infra-Red (IR), or Radio Frequency (RF) sensors and systems in a defence setting
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Python
  • Experience with model development, testing, and deployment
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
