Administrative Assistant for Housing Ownership

We are collaborating with Islington Council to fill a 3-month contract position for an Administrative Assistant, which is highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion.

Rate of Pay: £18.55 - £24.45 per Hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide a comprehensive arrears service on a patch basis or other designated area in accordance with Islington Councils policies and procedures, ensuring targets and timescales are met.
  • To offer general advice to leaseholders regarding benefits entitlement and identify suitable cases for referral to the debt advice service provider.
  • To coordinate legal recovery action in cases where there is both annual and major works service charge debt on accounts.
  • To make payment arrangements with leaseholders to clear their arrears in line with procedures.
  • To identify and refer complex or exceptional cases to the appropriate Team Leader or Leasehold Services Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of housing ownership and associated administrative tasks.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
