Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Mental Health and Learning Disability team at Midpark Hospital in Dumfries. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with the clinical team to provide person-centered interventions and group work programs. You will also collaborate with third sector, community teams, and support agencies to deliver high-quality care.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

We offer a comprehensive training program, including the Band 5 Flying Start program, to support your professional development. A current driving license is essential for this role, but we will consider alternative arrangements for candidates with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients with mental health and learning disabilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and goals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote patient independence and well-being
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery

Requirements:
