Spire Healthcare is seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our high-performing team at Spire Portsmouth Hospital.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years scrub experience to work in a variety of surgical procedures, including general, orthopaedic, and day case operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health and well-being, developing care plans that meet their needs and taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks, and their overall wellbeing.
  • Support the delivery of care to meet patient needs, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in outpatients and on the ward to rehabilitate patients and prepare for discharge.
  • Develop care plans that are appropriate to the patient, taking into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks, and their wellbeing.
  • Contribute towards quality improvements, collecting, collating, and organizing data, interpreting information, and making a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.
  • Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety, and security, and infection control, leading others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practices.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with at least 2 years scrub experience.Current NMC/HCPC registration with no restriction on practice.Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision.Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification.Highly motivated and used to working in challenging but rewarding environments.Orthopaedic experience highly desirable.
