The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Trading Standards Compliance Specialist to join our team at Hampshire County Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in protecting consumers and legitimate businesses within the county. Your primary responsibility will be to investigate complaints and inspect premises to ensure businesses trade fairly and comply with consumer protection legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate complaints and inspect premises to ensure businesses trade fairly and comply with consumer protection legislation.
  • Provide education and guidance to businesses on consumer protection legislation and best practices.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure a coordinated approach to consumer protection.

Requirements:

  • Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of consumer protection legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
