Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our food manufacturing team in Ebbw Vale. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and attending to machinery breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform scheduled PPMs and attend breakdowns to maintain equipment and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues across various production machinery.
- Use fault-finding skills to diagnose issues and ensure timely repairs to ensure smooth production.
- Contribute to machinery reliability and efficiency improvements in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety standards.
- A recognized qualification in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or multi-skilled).
- Previous experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A competitive salary ranging from £40,500 to £43,260 per annum, based on experience.
- Work in a dynamic food manufacturing environment with a rotating shift pattern of 4 on, 4 off (Days and Nights).
