Process Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Process Operations Manager to join our team at Koura in Runcorn. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and developing plant operations, operating teams, and resources to deliver Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) targets, quality, production, cost, and people development objectives.

Key Responsibilities- Prepare, communicate, and control local production schedules to ensure plants operate effectively, meet business and maintenance requirements, and keep control of fixed and variable costs.
- Monitor the safety, health, and environmental performance of the CTF plant and site, investigate incidents, and drive safety improvements to ensure production operations conform to current and future legislation.
- Manage the team's competence, performance, attendance, and behaviors to ensure they meet company standards.
- Work with the site production manager to develop and implement personal improvement plans for medical process teams and develop their skills, knowledge, and competencies in line with agreed targets set at the personal review time.
- Assist in the development and implementation of improvement plans to reduce plant fixed and variable costs and optimize performance in line with business needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 4 to 5 years' experience in continuous chemical process operations ideally at a supervisory level. You should have experience of working with unionized workforces on continuous shift patterns, preferably on a Top Tier COMAH site. You should also have knowledge of standard SHE principles, risk assessment, and safe systems of work.
You will have experience in handling, storage, and transportation of chemicals, including utilities. Additionally, you should have experience in using IT systems such as SAP, Microsoft Office, PIMS, and Delta V. Leadership and management qualifications, such as ILM Level 4 or Team Leader Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard, would be advantageous.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
