Key Responsibilities:- To lead and be responsible for the coding function within assigned clinical units/specialties.
- To assist the Head of Clinical Coding to develop, maintain, and manage a skilled efficient coding team to provide high-quality clinical coding services within the trust.
- To achieve accurate, timely, and consistent clinical coding within set standards and targets.
- To monitor and check the quality of coded data within assigned clinical units/specialties.
- To attend various meetings and deliver presentations on clinical coding when required.
- An Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) qualification.
- A degree-level or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of national and international clinical coding rules, conventions, and standards.
- Experience of working as an accredited clinical coder.
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
