Transform Financial Regulation with Data Engineering

We are seeking two dynamic Data Engineers to join our Data Strategy & Services department at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As part of the Data, Technology & Innovation (DTI) Division, we are leading the FCA in harnessing the power of data and advanced analytics to transform financial regulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive effective and innovative use of data to address key business challenges.
  • Manage diverse workloads across data engineering, data science, and data analytics projects.
  • Deliver high-quality data solutions aligned with the strategic needs of the FCA.
  • Develop and deliver a new data collection for consumer credit lending firms, requiring careful transformation and integration with existing data.
  • Structure data to support the organisation's analytical needs.

Requirements
  • Previous experience of Python, SQL, Spark, and data visualisation/exploration tools.
  • Experience of database technologies and working with optimised SQL queries in services like AWS Redshift.
  • Experience of collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
