Senior Tax Professional

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Personal Tax Senior to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Dover. This role will focus on personal tax matters, supporting the Tax Manager with compliance tasks and offering opportunities for advisory work across CGT, and IHT planning.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a leading regional practice, with fantastic support, training, and growth on offer. The successful candidate will have the chance to manage a portfolio of self-assessment tax clients, including personal tax clients and partnerships, and provide advisory services relating to Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, and Estate planning.
The ideal candidate will have AAT or ATT qualification, or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years of experience working within an accountancy practice environment or personal tax position. They will also have experience of preparing tax returns for Manager or Partner review and relevant tax computation software.
The role offers a highly competitive benefits package, including a salary of £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, as well as competitive pension and holiday schemes. Full study support is also available.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of self-assessment tax clients
- Providing advisory services relating to Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, and Estate planning
- Preparing various tax forms, including P11ds, PSA, ATEDs, and elections for clients where required
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, and HMRC
- Supervision and mentoring of junior tax staff
- Meeting with potential new clients and assisting with client onboarding
