Welder/Plater

Hales Group Limited is seeking a skilled Welder/Plater to join their team in Beccles. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing, maintaining, and repairing products in a small driven team. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing MMA and Fluxcore welding tasks
• Working with Aluminium, Mild Steel, and Stainless Steel
• Setting up and adjusting welding equipment
• Creating high-quality welds according to drawings
• Conducting continuous quality inspections and repairing welded structures
• Preparing products for welding by grinding, drilling, and milling
• Ensuring all equipment is in good working order
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment

To be considered for this role, applicants must have experience in MMA and Fluxcore welding, the ability to read technical drawings, knowledge of welding equipment and safety standards, and strong problem-solving skills. Additionally, they should be detail-oriented, have good communication skills, and be mechanically and technically minded. The role involves physically demanding work, and applicants should be able to complete tasks that require physical effort. The working hours are 7:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly rate of £15.40. Overtime is regularly available at an enhanced rate. The position is temporary to permanent, and benefits include above-statutory holiday pay and a regular overtime scheme.
