Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to join our team at Celsa Steel UK. As an Environmental Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's Environmental Management Systems (EMS) are maintained and managed across our sites in Cardiff and our scrap yards across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure specific areas remain compliant and certified to ISO14001
* Collate and analyse environmental data
* Escalate concerns to the Environment Manager, including permit breaches
* Support the collection of information for investigations into permit breaches and environmental incidents
* Lead and run the environmental compliance meetings with the relevant areas
* Challenge and support operational areas to deliver their environmental actions in a timely way
* Coach operational teams on the requirements of the EMS and Environmental Permit Regulations (EPR)
* Deliver specific environmental training and awareness to employees
* External stakeholder engagement through collation and publication of reports
* Planning and scheduling of contracted environmental site work
* Undertake site audits, EMS audits and duty of care contract audits
* Facilitate site audits and certifications with internal and external stakeholders
* Write, review and update procedures inline with document control policy
* Support the operational units with compliance to the EMS for allocated operational areas
* Responsible for ensuring clear and specific advice is given to the operational teams on compliance with environmental legislation and requirements directly affecting the areas operations
Requirements:
* Good knowledge of ISO14001 Management System
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
* Experience in relevant industrial industry
* Practitioner member of IEMA would be desirable
